The IUI process involves 8 steps:
Consultation

Diagnostic testing

Ovulation induction
Tests will be conducted to determine the correct time of ovulation. If fertility medication is required, they will be taken at this point.
Monitoring the eggs
Ultrasound scans are used to track the growth of the eggs.
Preparing the sperm
The donor or partner’s sperm is washed and processed to select highly active and healthy sperm.
Inserting the sperm
The sperm is injected into the uterus using a catheter.
Taking a pregnancy test
A pregnancy test is taken to confirm pregnancy.
Confirming the pregnancy with an ultrasound scan
Two weeks after a positive pregnancy test, a scan is done to locate and confirm the pregnancy.
